August 2011 - Cyclone Yasi Recovery Work
We have been working very hard since February 2011 assisting with the Cyclone Yasi recovery effort; helping rebuild and repair many local homes and businesses in our region. As expert remote access builders we were called upon to assist with recovery efforts on Bedarra Island. One of our biggest challenges was to get two large replacement water tanks over to the island. We used a local chopper company to assist us.

November 2010 - Compass Pools Dealership
T.C. Group announces the development of a new brand, Tropical Coast Pools, and their appointment as Dealer for Compass Pools within the area Cairns to Cardwell. Compass Pools build a suite of ceramic composite pools with a range of designs from a 4.5m mini pool to 22m plus lap pools. The Maxi Rib range are free standing and have the ability to be installed in difficult steep applications at reasonable cost. All Compass Ceramic Pools carry a 25 year internal colour warranty and a lifetime structural shell warranty.
October 2010 - Master Builders Awards Queensland
Having won three awards at the Far North Queensland presentation in August we then went on to win the Queensland Master Builders Housing & Construction Award for Medium Rise Multi-Residential Housing (Units/3 Storey) over $4 million. The winning project, mission@mission stage one, was completed during 2010. This multi-storey luxury apartment block features six large apartments, a lap-pool, underground parking and lift access.
Chris and Olivia Watt were delighted with the award and travelled to Brisbane to attend the 1st October 2010 presentation.

On the 28th August 2010, Tropical Coast Builders won the following categories in the Far North Queensland Master Builders Housing & Construction Awards:- Individual Home up to $250,000
- Individual Home $1 million to $2 million
- Medium Rise Multi-Residential Housing (Units/3 Storey) over $4 million
